It's fair to say that our big plan for 2020/21 has changed somewhat! But the sentiment and motivations are still very much the focus for us at HAOS. We thought you might enjoy having something to look forward to when we are allowed to return to doing what we do best, put on great shows & entertain the audiences of Calderdale!

How about a Christmas treat?..........

HAOS Productions are planning to provide everyone with a festive favourite this December at our very own Wellington Rooms - Elf the Musical!

Based on everybody's favourite 2003 Christmas film, Elf the Musical is the hilarious tale of Buddy the Elf, immortalised by Will Ferrell, a young orphan child who mistakenly crawls into Santa’s bag of gifts and is transported back to the North Pole. Unaware that he is actually human, Buddy’s enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth. With Santa’s permission, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father, discover his true identity, and help New York remember the true meaning of Christmas. This modern day Christmas classic is sure to make everyone forget the lockdown ever existed and celebrate Christmas by embracing their inner Elf.

More details will be supplied soon, in line with developing guidance from the UK government regarding how and when theatre and rehearsal spaces can re-open.

Then we have an epic, true HAOS style, spectacular show that we have managed to secure the rights to perform in our future season. We will be thrilled to be staging Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame - The Musical at our beloved home The Victoria Theatre in September 2022.

From the Academy Award-winning team including two giants of musical theatre - Stephen Schwartz and Alan Menken, comes a luscious retelling of Victor Hugo’s epic novel of love, acceptance and what it means to be a hero.

Packed full of all the songs from the hugely popular 1996 Disney animated film, this sweeping score and powerful story make The Hunchback of Notre Dame an instant classic, and is sure to be another smash-hit for HAOS members and audiences alike.
