Halifax Amateur Operatic Society was formed in 1901, since then we have proudly presented over 160 productions, ranging from operas to musicals, and concerts to pantomimes.

As a member (starting at just £1.25 a month) you will get access to view and contribute to our brand new digital vault of archived material from past productions featuring posters, flyers, programmes, photographs, cast lists, press cuttings and other digital media, promotional, rehearsal, and sometime even onstage footage, for those rare items with copyright permissions. Whether you are taking a trip down memory lane, looking back at an interesting side of Halifax's history or perhaps even researching family trees, we are sure you will enjoy our collection.

When browsing you may notice that over the years we have 'misplaced' quite a few of our posters / flyers / programmes. If you can help us by filling in any gaps we would be thrilled.
